This is a black pen illustration of the iconic department store, Liberty, London. Situated on Great Marlborough Street in the West End, the store sells luxury goods and is known for its floral and graphics prints.
Designed at the height of the 1920s fashion for Tudor revival, the shop was engineered around three light wells. Each of these wells was surrounded by smaller rooms to create a homely feel, and many of the rooms had fireplaces in order to create the feeling of being in your own home.
This particular illustration focuses on the front entrance including details of the flower market and weathervane.
Giclée print made in Britain on Canson Aquarelle Rag 310gsm museum grade white textured card with warm undertones.
The original illustration uses black ink fineliner on heavyweight paper.
If a frame is selected, prints will be professionally framed in your choice of a carefully selected 2.9cm black or off-white wooden frame.
