This is a black pen illustration of The Dome, Edinburgh. Situated on the infamous George Street, it functions as a bar, restaurant and nightclub and was first built in 1847. Although one of many buildings in a Greek Classical revival, The Dome stands unique on George Street with its stunning pediment featuring the sculpture of Caledonia, along with its rich history.
The drawing plays tribute to the detail of front facade of The Dome with focus on the details of the columns and pediment.
